Shep (1917-1996) and Norma Janet (1905-2001) were a long term Richmond couple, active in the Women's Political Caucus, Richmond Lesbian Feminists, Richmond WomensBooks, the Sierra Club, and Fare Share Food Coop and were members of Congregation Beth Ahaba. The couple was known for their strong opinions as well as their active involvement.  They lived openly as lesbians.
