Wanda was born in Portsmouth and graduated from Hampton University. She recently came out publicly and joined the Equality California Board of Directors. She is a comedian and actress, currently co-starring in "The New Adventures of Old Christine" with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She has won four Emmy Awards for comedy writing including her first on the staff of the “Chris Rock Show”. Her film credits include “Evan Almighty”, “Monster-in-Law”, and “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”. She is the 2009 recipient of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) D.C. Leadership Award.
