Bob Witeck

Before co-founding Witeck-Combs Communications in 1993, Witeck was senior vice president for Hill & Knowlton Public Affairs, a global public relations and public affairs firm. On Capitol Hill for over a decade, he also served as communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation and as a Senate press secretary and legislative assistant. Witeck is a graduate with distinction of the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. In 2006, Bob Witeck and Wes Combs co-authored Business Inside Out (Kaplan Publishing), considered the first-ever book on marketing insights, practical tips and strategies targeting the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender market. He has served on the national boards of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), and the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association. He also received the Bernard Mayes Award from the Serpentine Society (the University of Virginia's LGBT alumni group), as well as the 2006 National Gay & Lesbian Chamber Wells Fargo LGBT Business Owner of the Year award.
