To celebrate their marriage, Matt Connor and Stephen Gregory Smith are donating proceeds from their co-written song “Share Love” to Equality Virginia.

Matt and Stephen met at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA and have been together for 15 years. Their legal wedding took place in Washington, D.C. on June 10 and was followed by a celebration at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Va.  Matt and Stephen are both Helen Hayes Award Recipients and have been actors, writers, directors and teaching artists in the D.C. Metropolitan Area.

In 1995, the first Lavender Gradutation was coordinated at the University of Michigan. Since then, campus LGBT groups and faculty have shown support for their students by adopting the programs at schools across the nation – including Virginia. Congratulations to the class of 2013!
