“A Night In Arlington” Kicks Off Organization’s Renewed Focus On Northern Virginia

Arlington, VA -- Equality Virginia brings its first event to Northern Virginia this Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Westin Arlington Gateway to build support for its efforts in the area. Joining as hosts for A Night In Arlington are Terry McAuliffe, Aneesh Chopra, Senator Mark Herring, Delegate Rob Krupicka, Englin Consulting, Tom Field, Kelly Young & William Reinsmith, Martin Kormanik and Jay Fisette & Robert Rosen. EV believes Northern Virginia is essential to the organization’s overall success in impacting public policy during the next two election cycles and beyond. In addition to this first in a series of events, EV now has a dedicated staffer stationed in Arlington.  Ryan Schell builds membership and development.  The organization is also working with Fairfax City and Prince William County to add fully enumerated anti-bullying and anti-harassment policies. Doors for the event open at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring a raw bar and hors d'euorves.  Tickets will be available at the door for $250.  All proceeds benefit EV and its programming. The Westin Arlington Gateway is located at 801 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA. Equality Virginia is a statewide, non-partisan education, outreach, and advocacy organization seeking equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Virginians.  Since 1989, EV has worked to end discrimination, protect families and build safe communities.  More information is online at EqualityVirginia.org.  Connect on Facebook.com/EqualityVA or Twitter @EqualityVA.
