Community Conversation: Racial Justice at EV

This March, Equality Virginia released a public commitment to make anti-racism a central part of our work for LGBTQ equality, and we remain dedicated to updating you on our progress over the past few months.

We invite you to the first of several quarterly community conversations where we hope to hear from community members about how you are seeing, not seeing, and would like to see racial justice show up in our work. You’ll get to hear from us, but more importantly, we’ll get to hear from you.

We hope you will join us virtually on Thursday, July 8 from 6:00-7:30pm for our facilitated community conversation on racial justice at Equality Virginia. The event is free and registration is required: bit.ly/RJ-conversation-july

All are welcome, and we look forward to a robust conversation where everyone is able to share their thoughts and opinions. We especially encourage Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern and North African people to join us, and we will prioritize your feedback.

This conversation is an opportunity for you to share, provide feedback and ask hard questions. It will also have interpretation between English and Spanish as well as closed captions in English. For any questions or accommodation requests related to accessibility, please contact us before the event by emailing [email protected], calling during business hours at (804) 643-4816, or using the registration form.

We look forward to seeing you for this important discussion on rooting our LGBTQ movement in racial justice!
