Title: MSW Intern
Kyleigh Hynes is a second-year Master of Social Work student on the macro practice track at VCU. She is thrilled to be completing her second-year concentration field work at Equality Virginia, and is immensely grateful for the learning and skill building opportunities provided to her at her field placement. From planning and implementing programs like the 7th annual TIES conference, to building upon her policy advocacy and organizing skills in the General Assembly, she is thankful to be able to aid in fulfilling needs and advancing rights for LGBTQIA+ Virginians. Prior to her work at Equality Virginia, Kyleigh completed her MSW generalist field placement with the Bon Secours Richmond Care-A-Van, where she provided clinical social work services to uninsured individuals and families. When she is not in class or completing field work, Kyleigh can be found tending to her houseplants, cooking new recipes, and trying to find the best chai latte in Richmond.
