Title: Program Director
Thalia Hernandez (she/her) enjoyed a unique childhood living in a half-dozen states as the child of an Air Force officer, but has called Virginia home for the past 14 years. Before graduating from the College of William & Mary, she was a part of multiple social justice-focused student organizations, and dedicated three and half years to serving on the executive board of William & Mary’s largest LGBTQ student group. After graduation in May 2018, she moved to Richmond to join Equality Virginia as a program coordinator to help launch EV’s then-brand new Transgender Visibility Initiative. In January 2020, she became the program director for EV where she now manages all programming focused on the transgender and non-binary community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the river, reading, spending time with friends, and being an active community member.
